7-mile overhead bridge takes shape

Port Moresby’s fifth overhead foot bridge along the Hubert Murray Highway is taking shape.

Koki, Boroko, Vision City and Hohola are existing ones.

The new bridge will connect 7-Mile and Wildlife ends of the highway, replacing a pedestrian crossing.

The project has been made possible through a collaboration between Port Moresby North-East District Development Authority (DDA) and National Capital District Commission (NCDC).

The project is aimed at improving traffic flow and safety of residents.

The sixth one is being constructed at Waigani.
