NCD/Central Commander Benjamin Turi in a statement yesterday commended police officers for their swift response, which resulted in one of the armed suspects being wounded while attempting to flee.

Commander Turi said the remaining suspects, who are still on the run, would soon be apprehended as police continue investigations, including interviewing the wounded suspect and reviewing CCTV footage from the scene.

He also stated that armed robberies and vehicle thefts have increased in recent weeks across the city, according to police reports.

Commander Turi said police are intensifying intelligence operations to identify and arrest those involved in criminal activities.

Mr. Turi further warned the public to make way for police vehicles during emergency responses and hot pursuit operations.
