K4.5 million Talyokos Health Centre completed, set to serve 60,000 in Wapenamanda

K4.5 million worth Talyokos Health Center Project in Wapenamanda District, Enga was completed yesterday, awaiting its official opening later this year.

Contractor PEEK Builders and Construction Limited proudly made the announcement last night.

The contractor said over 60,000 people will be served by this facility.

The event is expected to be attended by the Minister for Transport and Member for Wapenamanda District, Miki Kaeok, the Minister for Health, and Prime Minister, James Marape.

As a senior leader in the Pangu-led Government, Miki Kaeok’s approval and counterpart funding have played a crucial role in the successful completion of the Talyokos Health Center project.

The company’s managing director, Ezical Kipa, acknowledged the strong support from the Wapenamanda MP.

He stated that his consistent contribution of resources and hands-on involvement-during both good and challenging times-greatly assisted the contractors in completing the project within the required timeframe.

According to Mairip Community Representative Reynold Kulimbao and MD Kipa, the successful completion of this project marks a significant milestone for the community.

Located within the Miok tribes, this health center is a vital community initiative that will serve the people of Wapenamanda District and the wider Enga Province, improving access to essential healthcare services for all.
