LAGAIP STUDENTS GET NEW UNIFORMS

Even though their MP, Amos Akem, has been dismissed by the National Court of Disputed Returns, the Lagaip District Development Authority (LDDA) continues to support education in the district.

Akem is seeking a leave for the decision’s judicial review before the Supreme Court.

Two secondary schools in the district received brand new school uniforms.

These schools are Surinki Lutheran Secondary and Pilikambi Secondary.

The support came from the LDDA.

Executive Officer Londari Lasela represented the MP and handed over the supplies.

Surinki Lutheran Secondary got 12 boxes of uniforms.

Pilikambi Secondary received 11 boxes.
Lasela said the LDDA is committed to helping schools in the district.

Students from nearby Wabag, Kandep, and Pogera-Paiela also attend these schools.

Earlier this year, LDDA donated a vehicle to Wanepop Inclusive High School.

Aiyak High School will also receive a vehicle soon to help with school operations.

Lasela added that LDDA will continue to support all schools in the district.
He called on parents to take education seriously and work together with the government.

Surinki principal Peam Yakali and Pilikambi Board Chairman Peam Yakali thanked the LDDA.

They said the uniforms would boost student morale and encourage hard work.

Surinki is located near the Wabag-Lagaip border, in Surinki LLG.

Pilikambi is in Pilikambi LLG, near Kandep and Maip-Mulitaka LLG.
