Pangu Pati exposes fake Facebook propaganda, issues strong public warning

The Pangu Pati National Secretariat Office has categorically disassociated itself from the misleading and inappropriate content currently circulating on social media, purportedly on behalf of the party.

A Fake Pangu Pati Facebook page posted that the party thanked Mr. Noel Anjo and Mr. Timothy Tambu for speaking out in support of the government.

Public Officer and General Secretary Dogimai Morris Tovebae said in a statement that is not true.

In a democratic country where free speech and debates are crucial, he said, these gentlemen have gone their way creating contents reflecting their values, principles and convictions.

He clarified that Pangu Pati does not put individuals on payroll and accommodate them in hotel rooms like other Opposition parties are doing.

“We strongly condemn the spread of such false and irresponsible propaganda by individuals, including so-called “keyboard warriors,” who are not authorized to speak for or represent Pangu Pati in any capacity.”

“For the avoidance of doubt, Pangu Pati does not operate any official Facebook account or informal social media platforms. All official communications from the party-whether through social media or traditional media outlets-are formally issued, properly authorized, and signed and sealed by the National Secretariat.”

“Therefore, we categorically deny any statements, messages, or posts circulating online that do not meet these official standards. Members of the public are urged to exercise caution and refrain from sharing unverified information that may mislead or cause unnecessary confusion.”

Mr. Tovebae said the Pangu Pati National Secretariat remains committed to transparency, integrity, and responsible communication with the people of Papua New Guinea.
