PASSING OF SIR JULIUS IS HOAX

The death news being circulated on Whatsapp platforms this evening that the former Prime Minister, Sir Julius Chan passed on in Australia’s Brisbane is hoax. 

PNG SUN a while ago verified the news with one of his officers who described it as ‘fake news.’

This week Sir Julius with his family members is in Sydney visiting his father’s grave.

In a media statement, Sir Julius said his father, late Bernard Chin Pak passed away on September 28th 1994 at the age of 98, nine days after the davastating Rabaul volcanic eruption.
In that Sir J lost his house, three days before he took on the role as Prime Minister on October 1st 1994 – his second term as Prime Minister.
Sir J described that period as difficult yet he pressed on with his country at heart.
This week, he was joined by children Vanessa and Mark, grandchildren and other family members at his late father’s grave site, 30 years on since his dear father’s passing.
Every year Sir Julius honors his father and mother.
Sir J also visited the grave site of his former Rabaul Sacred Heart school mate, late Julian Chow and close friend late Sir Henry Chow.
