PNG AIR ANNOUNCES FLIGHT RESTRICTIONS INTO GURNEY AIRPORT

PNG Air has announced that flight services into and out of Gurney Airport in Milne Bay Province will be affected due to runway maintenance.

PNG Air Media Department advised that the National Airport Corporation shared last week that maintenance work is now taking place at Gurney Airport. As a result, PNG Air will need to limit the number of passengers on its flights.

Only 10 passengers will be allowed on each flight leaving Gurney, and 28 passengers on each flight arriving into Gurney. Some passengers may be offloaded because of these new limits.

PNG Air apologizes for the inconvenience and thanks customers for their understanding during this time.

The airline also shared good news. Starting 11 July 2025, PNG Air will increase its flights to Gurney to three times a week. These flights will run on Fridays, Saturdays, and Mondays.

For more information, customers can contact the PNG Air Call Centre at 16111 (Digicel Toll Free) or 7411 2644 (Telikom).
