The Queensland Rugby League (QRL) has appointed former Queensland and Australian fullback Darius Boyd as head coach of the Queensland Maroons on a two-year contract covering the 2027 and 2028 State of Origin series, according to the Australian local media.
Boyd, 39, secures the role following a decorated playing career spanning 337 NRL games, two premierships and 28 appearances for Queensland, where he scored 17 tries.
