UPNG allows one-day late registration for students

The University of Papua New Guinea (UPNG) has allowed a one‑day late registration opportunity for students and staff who have been denied admission when the deadline lapsed last Friday.

In a circular issued on 19 February 2026, Vice Chancellor Professor Ian Findlay, overseer of the Office of the Registrar, informed the university community that “there will be a One Day Late Registration on Tuesday 24 February 2026.”

The notice, labeled Circular No. 7/2026, aims to give eligible individuals a final chance to complete their registration for the current academic term.

University officials urge students and staff to take advantage of the special registration day to avoid academic or administrative penalties.

According to the circular, the administration appreciates cooperation and reminds participants to ensure all required documents and fees are ready for submission.

The university expects the one‑day event to help streamline enrollment and maintain academic continuity for those who missed regular registration deadlines.

Further details are available through the Registrar’s Office or the university’s official website.
