Outgoing team captain Steward Robin expressed his excitement to be participating in the competition, citing the team’s potential and desire to showcase their talents on a bigger stage.

“I see a lot of potential in my boys, and I wanted to give them the opportunity to expose their skills,” he said.

The team’s major sponsors include Staut Lawyers Ltd and Kalish Mon Ltd. Notably, the players have also made personal sacrifices, contributing their own lunch money to support the team’s efforts.

Balancing academic and sporting commitments has not been easy, but the team is determined to succeed. “We attend classes from 8am-3pm and train from 3-4pm,” Mr. Robin explained.
“It’s tough, but our strong determination and commitment to both our studies and sports keep us going.”

“The competition provides an excellent opportunity for the SOL Brothers Rugby League team to showcase their skills and represent UPNG with pride.”
