The Artificial Intelligence (AI) summit will take place on 6th March 2026, at the Stanley Hotel in Port Moresby.
The cheque presentation was made by the Digitec ICT Limited CEO, Mr. Satyen Singh, to the Chairman and Co-Founder of ITI, Mr. Senthil Kumaran Sentheval, this morning at the ITI, Badili Campus.
During his opening remarks, CEO Mr. Singh said that his company was happy to support the AI Summit 2026, which is in its second year, and AI is the future of this country.
Mr. Singh stressed that if we are looking at how to improve our productivity, our efficiency, the economy, and the national priorities then AI is the way forward.
Digitec ICT Limited’s contribution ahead of summit is going to be a blessing to this nation through:
healthcare, education, and agriculture.
He added that all the necessary industries that drive the nation will benefit greatly from AI, CEO Singh.
He continued that this event would give the participants and the country an opportunity to give a platform to people of PNG, interact, discuss, and collaborate on AI.
There will be a lot of knowledge sharing and ideas on what is relevant for PNG and how we execute it, he said.
“I’d like to congratulate ITI for taking this initiative and driving this AI agenda in the country,” the CEO said.
Chairman and Co-Founder Mr. Sentheval thanked the DigiTech ICT Limited CEO, Mr. Singh, and his team for the sponsorship.
Co-Founder Kumaran said that AI Summit 2026 is a high-level event in the country where all the speakers will come from other countries like Australia.
“Therefore, it is a financially extensive exercise where we moved the venue from Crown Plaza to the Stanley Hotel,” Chairman Mr. Kumaran said.
However, he noted that AI Summit 2026 is beneficial for all organizations, both private and public sectors in PNG.
Chairman Kumaran said that they had collected some sponsorships earlier from different entities.
However, he called on other interested organizations to be sponsors as Papua New Guineans move to the AI world.
Mr. Kumaran said that Digitec ICT Limited and ITI worked out a good deal with each other, and then they actually went for the title sponsor.
Chairman Mr. Kumaran commended that it’s a good trend.
“So, we’ll move forward with that, and we’ll be obviously working with them on a lot of things as well.
“We’ve been discussing with them, and also, we’ll work with them for future events as well,” he said.
