ITI hosts 65th graduation ceremony with 394 graduates

The International Training Institute (ITI) celebrated its 65th Graduation Ceremony with 394 students graduating in various certificate, diploma, and advanced diploma programs at APEC Haus on Friday (16 May).

The graduation ceremony was witnessed by proud parents, guardians, families, relatives, sponsors, lecturers, and invited guests who filled the venue to celebrate the achievements of the graduands.

Graduates received qualifications in Certificate in Accounting, Certificate in Business, Certificate in Human Resource Management, Certificate in Computing, Diploma in Accounting, Diploma in Human Resource Management, Diploma in Management, Advanced Diploma in Accounting, Diploma in Information Technology, Diploma in Business Accounting, Diploma in Business Management, Diploma in Human Capital Management, Diploma in Marketing Management, and Diploma in Information and Communication Technology.

Speaking during the ceremony, ITI Chairman and Co-founder Senthil Kumaran Sentheyval congratulated the graduates and encouraged them to continue learning and striving for success.

Mr. Sentheyval said education remained the key to personal and national development and reminded graduates that learning should continue beyond the classroom.

He also highlighted the growing role of Artificial Intelligence in education and workplaces, saying graduates must be prepared to adapt to changes in technology and the modern workforce.

During his speech, Mr. Sentheyval reflected on ITI’s journey since its establishment in Papua New Guinea in 1999 and outlined several developments currently taking place at the institution.

The developments, he said, include the introduction of degree programs, improvements to digital learning systems, and stronger industry partnerships for student training and employment opportunities.

The ceremony also recognized students who performed exceptionally well academically, with Dux Awards presented to top-performing graduates in their respective programs.

The Chairman’s Award, accompanied by K1000 prize money, was also awarded during the event.

The 65th graduation ceremony ended with celebrations and photo sessions as graduates proudly marked an important milestone in their academic journey.
