Wamp NGA Mt Hagen Eagles 24 defeated Moni Plus NCDC POM Vipers 20

Wamp Nga Mt Hagen Eagles secured a 24-20 victory over Moni Plus NCDC Port Moresby Vipers in Round 10 of the Digicel ExxonMobil Cup at John Ambane Oval in Minj, Jiwaka Province, on Saturday.

The Eagles crossed for four tries through Jordan Pat, Clinton Yop, Semion Wingti and Manuel John, with Isaac Paun producing a flawless performance from the tee by converting all four tries.

The Vipers matched the Eagles with four tries of their own through Manase Watt, Jordan Palus, Sani Lipu and Thoman Peter, while Ben Fege added two
conversions.

In a closely contested encounter, both sides traded tries throughout the afternoon, but the Eagles’ perfect goal-kicking ultimately proved the difference.

Despite a spirited effort from the Vipers, Wamp Nga Mt Hagen Eagles held firm in the closing stages to secure an important four-point victory and continue their strong campaign.
