The University of Papua New Guinea is preparing to welcome students back for Semester Two of the 2026 academic year, with registration underway ahead of classes beginning on Monday, July 6.
Students have been encouraged to complete registration, access the Semester Two timetable and finalize preparations before the start of the new semester.
The new semester marks another phase in UPNG’s academic calendar as the university continues to strengthen teaching, learning, research and student development.
Vice-Chancellor Professor Ian Findlay urged students to approach the semester with commitment and remain focused on achieving their academic goals.
“As we begin another semester, I encourage all students to remain focused, make full use of the opportunities available to them, and continue to uphold the values that define the University of Papua New Guinea,” Professor Findlay said.
He encouraged students to make the most of the opportunities available throughout the semester as they continue their academic journey.
The University also wished students every success for Semester Two as they continue their studies during the 2026 academic year.
