FORMER PPC GIUSU BACK AS NCD/CENTRAL RESERVE POLICE COORDINATOR

Former Gulf Provincial Police Commander, Ruben Giusu is back the police force.

Senior Inspector, Giusu has been appointed as the new coordinator for police reservists in the NCD and Central Province.

He resigned from the force in 2012 to contest the Gulf Regional Seat.

In a media statement, the Commander of NCD/Central, Benjamin Turi, has officially welcomed Senior Inspector, Giusu

This appointment follows a directive from police management in response to growing public complaints about police impersonators.

Commander Turi said Mr. Giusu brings valuable experience in both policing and administration and will be based at Saraga Police Post, which is now designated as the operational center for all reservists.

Turi has also directed all reservists—active or inactive—within the command to report and identify themselves. “We have too many people pretending to be reservists and committing crimes. This is damaging the reputation of the police force,” Turi said.

He added that all properly trained reservists must now report to Mr. Giusu for station assignments.

“You were trained and issued uniforms to serve the people. If you’re not doing your job, we will take back the uniform because it belongs to the police department,” Turi warned.
