NEW SISTER CITY BOND CEMENTS GLOBAL UNITY BETWEEN PNG & USA

Port Moresby and Long Beach, California, have officially become sister cities, it was announced at a media conference today in the PNG capital.
A signing ceremony was held today at the City Hall to mark the partnership.
This is a big step toward working together and building a strong friendship between the two cities.
Governor Powes Parkop signed the agreement for Port Moresby. Jeff Williams, Director of Community Engagement from the Mayor’s Office in Long Beach, signed on behalf of his city.
Port Moresby also has sister city relationships with Port Vila, Shenzhen, and Townsville. More sister city partnerships are being planned.
The two cities have promised to work together to share cultures, support education, involve communities, and promote peace.
The event ended with both sides exchanging gifts to show their friendship and commitment to the new partnership.
