NPL Enga Mioks edged PRK Gulf Isou in thriller

NPL Enga Mioks secured a thrilling 32-30 victory over PRK Gulf Isou in Round 10 of the Digicel ExxonMobil Cup at their home ground, Aipus Oval, on Sunday.

The Mioks crossed for six tries through Ronnie Seronte, Joel William (2), Jeremia Dickson, Junior James and Clent Lama, with Lama adding four conversions to help his side claim a narrow victory.

Gulf Isou matched their opponents with six tries of their own through Jeremiah Tipitape (2), Sam Kombia (2), Jeremiah Karavo and an additional four-pointer, while Fabian Kari and Andy Tand combined for three conversions.

The match was an entertaining end-to-end contest; with both sides trading tries throughout the afternoon and neither team able to establish a decisive advantage.

In the end, Enga Mioks’ superior goal-kicking proved the difference as they held on to secure a hard-fought two-point win in front of their home supporters at Aipus Oval.
